London Calling - Update
London Calling Diglis Basin, Worcester.
Our cruise this summer is to London. We shall head across to the Grand Union Canal and explore all the arms off it on the way down to London. We shall spend some time cruising the Regent's Canal and around the Olympic Park before heading onto the River Thames at the Grand Union Canal Junction. From there we shall head onto the River Wey and hopefully the Basingstoke Canal before returning along the River Thames to Oxford. Depending on conditions we shall either return the way we came or navigate along the River Avon from Stratford to Tewkesbury and back to Worcester.
We aim to leave Diglis Marina on Thursday 6th June and we anticipate cruising for about 3 months and should be back in Worcester, late August beginning of September.
We have been busy washing and polishing Ella inside and out. We have touched up the varnish on the window frames, doors and stern seats, re-browned the log-burner and re-blacked the hearth and touched up paintwork on the roof and sides. We have planted up the tubs for the roof and they are beginning to look very pretty.
